this is /r/ipad ... so far as I know, you can't post files as attachments by going to imgur.com.

That's partly why I built emgur.com -- you can just email an image to it, and it posts to imgur and emails you the direct link.

Alternatively, you could use picup to upload to imgur. I actually find it easier to use emgur though.

iPad has no file system so I can't upload through a regular web interface. I need an app that can access the photo library.

Oh, I gotcha, sorry. The flickr app will upload but I don't think it'll cough up the URL. OTOH, you could then go browse your flickr feed in Mobile Safari and grab the URL...

The Flickr app might do what you're asking, there is a "Share" button to e-mail the picture, you can then copy the URL and close the e-mail.

Couldn't find a flickr app, but searching for it lead me to the photobucket app which works perfectly for what I need. I don't know why I didn't find that before. Thanks!
